From the Author This book is the culmination of about three years work from the time I actually started to write it until it was recently published. Whilst it is an autobiography I would hope that it is more than that. It not only tells the story of my life but also the lives of a number of people who have, by circumstance or friendship, have become a part of my life.Much of this book details an adventure I had through the USA for seven weeks back in 2008. I travelled through 22 states and had one of the most memorable times of my life. As an Australian I want to share my time in America. The USA is a country that I have always wanted to travel to and it is my wish that I will return there again in the not-too-distant future.I have drawn inspiration from many people in my life, but much of the inspiration for this book in particular, come from some of the incredible people I have met along the way. Life is meant to be a journey and I have been inspired to share that journey here. I hope that from some pretty negative times I have been able to turn things around and bring meaning to my life and those around me. It is for the reader to decide whether that is true or not.

From the Inside Flap My book has been dedicated to Randy, a friend of mine whom I knew personally and lived in Clearwater Florida. Randy died in April 2011 and I dedicated my book to his life and his attitude to life.

From the Back Cover I have tried to turn something so negative into a positive....

1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Inspiring read By Starlight WINDOWS IN THE CLOUDSThere are plenty of autobiographies out there about the rich and famous but this is a story of an ordinary Aussie bloke who has been on an extraordinary journey. From young, fit and healthy with the whole world before him, Stephen woke up one day in a hospital bed with the whole world having collapsed on him. This is the inspiring story of how he came to terms with his new life and then decided to take on some of the challenges he had dreamed of before his accident. With a healthy dose of Aussie self-deprecating humour, he tells his story in a personal way that engages the reader and makes you want to know what he will do next. Many people have so many excuses in life about why they haven't done certain things. Stephen has shown us that most of those excuses are just that. Excuses. Life is too short not live it to the full.
