For this book I did skim the sex parts -- it just didn't interest me but that doesn't mean it was a bad book it all . ( I've just read so many of these books and they just are the same and therefore I get tiring and long. ) Of course this is a short story. I know the series is finished but old Fara needs her mate even if she's not young. Colin perhaps? It could be a cute Valentine short story. The MAture readers need to be represented! What was funny is they are big coffee drinkers. When someone comes to Nat's house she served coffee.. Exclusively .. Even if it's five at night. ( Each book only serves coffee to any guests exclusively). I guess I'm used to serving ice tea, soda or water . But coffee isn't the go to drink around here! I guess it's just fine to me and it's doesn't really matter. I'll assume in the series , wolves really need caffeine and the wolves- universe is not located in the USA. ( Or maybe Seattle!!) At location 396 Natalie's name became Kira in a scene at the bakery . And also another time the mates Hugo and Bliss apparently were accidentally changed to Hugo and Kira. I only mention this because it's very annoying and they should update the block . Enjoy your book

She wrote another book with all the surprises you could ask for in one book. This book went in a direction I did not see coming. As I read this book I began to see the characters as they played out. It was like I was in the book with the characters.Riley Merric is convinced that he is the next Alpha since he is the last one available and able to take the position. Now all he has to do is find his mate before he can become alpha. He goes for a run after working on Kara's barn and there she sits in the forest, on the grass. She sees him come up close to her and realizes who he is...and then she shifts and runs.Natalie has stayed away from Wolf Valley because she feels as though she let her deceased father down by being a girl, and not being able to carry on the role as Alpha of Wolf Valley.Can't give away any surprises in the book, and of course there are many. It is a must read. Trust me you will not be disappointed.

Everyone found there mates in unusual ways, but overall Harmony Raines did it again putting another series out there that made me laugh, cry, get mad but overall loving each and every storyline...luv it..always Winsome.

First of all I think I held my breath for most of the book, it was very intense and I do that when I'm expecting something bad to happen.I also cried, I knew not everyone was going to make it, I mean, it is very obvious from the kind of book that we are reading but one of my favorite characters of the series didn't make it and I am devastated. I guess I was kinda hoping that he would make it even if the odds were against him and to be honest I'm still holding on, I think the author could bring him back if he really wants because Reed didn't really see his body. I think the characters that saw him on the ground were thinking he is dead but maybe not? I hope so. Crossing my fingers...I have to say some of the most intense scenes I have ever read in a book are in this one. Specially the scene with Fitz and Apollo, gosh, I was biting my nails.The story as usual was packed full of action, you won't be bored for a second. And that ending, JEEZ! Now I need the next one like now!!!I have to say this is one of the best series of this genre I have ever read.Will definitely recommend to my friends, specially my guy friends, I think they will love this action packed series.If I could give it 10 stars I would, I think this one is going to be a Best Seller for sure!

Not mindless zombies, but the development of a whole new very scary species By John Davis Since we are into baseball series time, I have to say that these four books are a base loaded home run. These books are not about mindless zombies but the development of a whole new species competing with the ever alarmingly dwindling human population. Great writing, great character development, heart-pounding action, that is military science fiction at its best inside this post-apocalyptic world. Read them all. Cannot wait for the fifth book.

This time we are taken way beyond the other books in the series and expectations. I love this book because it was too hard to put down with all the action going on at the same time! What's happening here? Well... the Variants are continuously evolving and adapting... With the changes in the military and government, who can you trust? More harrowing missions! More suspense awaits...!!!There were many surprises, and it was an exciting read from start to finish. Familiar characters are stretched even further than they imagined; new characters... some you like and some.... well, they can be pretty despicable! The writing keeps you drawn in, and the action keeps your heart thumping! The suspense and horror... you're afraid to see what happens next, but you also HAVE to know what is aroiund the corner!Smith has created a scary new world... and you are glad to have characters like Beckham, Horn, Riley, Chow, Fitz, Apollo, and Garcia on your side! Too, you are glad scientists are doing their best to help these heroes... It's a great story, and I can't wait to read the fifth book when it comes out! This is an even more exciting book than the previous one! I'm not saying much as it's best to see for yourself! Get in there and get hooked on this storyline like the rest of us!Extinction Cycle is definitely a series to keep you on your toes, waiting in anticiption for the next mission! Our heroes are human, and even romance can be found at the end of he world as we know it!

2 of 2 people found the following review helpful. No tiene final By L. Lopez No puedo creer que haya leído más de 800 páginas para no tener un final. La historia se puede dividir en dos partes, la primera se conocen, surgen muchas situaciones y misterios que se van resolviendo o aclarando poco a poco lo que mantiene al lector entretenido. La segunda parte es donde solo hay declaraciones de amor por lo que fue agotador ya que se repitieron una y otra vez lo mismo. La historia la empieza a contar Anna para luego pasar a intervenciones de Vincent. Más adelante se intercalan párrafos por uno y por el otro que hacía en ocasiones difícil de entender quien decía que. Vincent Black un personajes con efímeras semejanzas a Christian Gray, Guideon y hasta de Jesse de Mi Hombre pero sin llegar a ser uno de ellos. Lo encontré que no pudo demostrar su poder y carácter, se derritió muy pronto y llego algún punto que lo encontré demasiado bueno. En cambio Anna rayo en la histeria, siempre con insultos y amenazas. No vi a la dulce y entregada Anna. Las escenas de pasión buenas pero me pregunto si Vincent tenía tanta experiencia porque me parecieron repetitivas. A pesar de esto la lectura es entretenida ya que el lector quiere saber la verdad y como se resuelven los problemas. Fue decepcionante como no hubo un final luego de tantas páginas y se quedó con un nuevo problema que a mi entender luego de tantas promesas de amor no tenia de donde sustentarse. Al final no me pareció una historia creíble aunque si la escritora es muy romántica y maneja el lenguaje muy bien.

Sí. ¿Personajes para odiar como Dios manda? Sí. ¿Amor y pasión para suspirar y ruborizarse? Sí. ¿Misterios, secretos, suspense? Sí. ¿Aspecto horrible a la mañana siguiente por no haber podido dejar de leer en toda la noche, y luego entrar en crisis mientras se espera la segunda parte? ¡Sí, por Dios!Y claro, he quedado súper prendada del señor Black... ;)

By Silvia Es un libro bastante largo (muchas paginas) y me parecio interesante, muy buena redaccion, personajes interesantes, ambiente , muy bueno, pero, despues de haber leido toda la trama, NO tiene final....? Me dejo un final un poco "destemplado" a pesar de tener muchas expectativas sobre el mismo ! Y si es una nueva modalidad de las autoras, no lo aprecie !

We also learn more about Marny’s family background, including her Samoan grandmother.Marny settles in with the two other interns, Wil and Anjah, who is obsessed with her own appearance and serves as a foil for Marny’s independence about her nonconventional looks. A minor quibble: Marny initially resists even the lip gloss that Anjah offers her, so the cover image of a glamor-makeup Marny seems a bit out of character.Nyx Spenser, an avid gamer and budding entrepreneur in Newpoint, finds the enchanted forest of Feyland manifested in his bedroom. His sister Emmie sees it too. Although the forest disappears, he learns how to get it back. He rents a warehouse and opens Club Mysteria, which features the forest. Nyx is completely ignorant of the possible consequences and of the dangers of the Faerie Realms.When Marny goes to the club, she immediately recognizes the Feyland forest and realizes the threat that it poses. When she encounters Nyx at the club, they are first mutually suspicious and antagonistic. Their mutual adventure leads to an action-filled (and amusing) denouement with a few surprises.

By DeeHat Even though Marny is the 3rd book in the Feyguard series, Ms. Sharp does an excellent job of blending just enough background from the previous books to allow it to be read as a stand-alone book, but not so much that you feel like your drowning in the previous stories before you get to the meat of this one.Marny is a wonderful character who isn't afraid of who and what she is – a strong, tall, quiet and smart young lady from a low-middle class background mostly comfortable in her own skin. She's scored a coveted summer internship with Intertech and is embarking on her solo adventure to the big city 800+ miles from home.Nyx Spenser is a smart kid who enjoys gaming and while sharing his gaming adventures on his Flail channel has managed to turn that enjoyment into a tidy income. So one evening when Nyx steps out of his sim system and into a piece of the enchanted forest – in his bedroom no less! – and figures out that it is real, the only logical next step is… Club Mysteria!It's a little confusing at first because Ms. Sharp starts Nyx' story in March and the next chapter starts Marny's story in June, but the 2 points of view flow so well together that it actually took me a couple chapters to realize what was going on. A quick flip back to the chapter headings got me on track and barreling along for a wild ride.Ms. Sharp's descriptions of Marny's bus ride and her first (second, and third!) impressions of the big city and Intertech are rich and nicely detailed without bogging down in excessive over-the-top long-winded nitty details that drive a reader nuts. Ms. Sharp shares a wonderfully descriptive view of the often hidden beauty of a big city, without detracting in any way from the story. I'm reading entire book again, just so that I can savor the imagery Ms. Sharp so skillfully creates.Whatever you do, don't start this book just before going to bed and having to be up early the next day, like I did, because I guarantee you won't be able to put it down from page 1! I loved the story from start to finish and I'm bound and determined to join the Feyguard in my next lifetime!I feel I should close this review by acknowledging that I am only a 'young adult' at heart, as the gray hairs I see in the mirror remind me of regularly, so I don't find myself reading books from the Young Adult genre very often. But I love the Fantasy genre, especially with a "gaming" twist, so when I came across Feyland: The First Adventure (the prequel story to the Feyland series) for free I was intrigued enough by the blurb to take a chance. Hey, it's free, what the heck.The prequel story was engaging enough that I bought the first book in the Trilogy (ok, it was free too) and I was hooked. I immediately bought the rest of the books in the series which I don't do unless I really, really enjoy the story and the author's writing… especially with over 2500 free books on my Kindle that I haven't read yet!Ms. Sharp creates a wonderful blend of Fantasy, Gaming, and SciFi adventure with a nice touch of sweet romance... along with good suspenseful action and really creepy baddies! Sharp returns to the fantasy world that she’s built throughout the series and takes readers on a unique twist. Her seamless narrative and vibrant descriptions bring both the human and fantasy aspects of this novel to life. Not only was the world building fantastic, but the plot kept me on my toes. I loved the combination of fantasy, gaming, and real life situations.I really like how Marny is ok just being herself. True, there may be things that she’d like to change but in general she likes herself. Nyx’s fantastic ideas and journeys, as well as the intricate way in which Sharp developed him, created the perfect hero for this tale. His larger than life persona made him the perfect candidate for this tale. I appreciate how the characters are age appropriate, yet extraordinary at that. No one is faced with situations that are beyond them, yet they are caught up in situations that are well beyond the everyday, stretching them to the limits. I love the dialogue and the gaming lingo. It brought everything and everyone to the forefront for me.This novel has it all: vivid and larger than life writing, characters that you can’t help but fall in love with, and a fast paced, fantasy plot full of action and adventure.Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

About the Author Stephan Bugaj started screenwriting professionally at Pixar Animation Studios, having transitioned from a decade of working as a technical artist to co-creating two development projects. He subsequently left the studio to head-up all writing and directing for Telltale Games, and co-write the first episode of Tales From the Borderlands and co-direct the first episode of Game of Thrones. He then left that studio to head to Los Angeles where he works as VP of Creative for Hanson Robotics and as a film, games and virtual reality writer-director working with WakingUp Media, Visioneer Studios, Marza Animation Planet, Digital Quilt, Limitless VR, Penny Pop, Pocket Gems, and others. His feature screenplay "Human, After All" is currently out for financing with John H. Lee (Cut Runs Deep, Sayonara Itsuka) attached to direct.     Justin Sloan is a video game writer at Telltale Games, where he has worked on such titles as Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead. His novels include such titles as Falls of Redemption and Back by Sunrise, and he dabbles in screenwriting. Justin studied writing at the Johns Hopkins MA in Writing program and screenwriting at UCLA. Before becoming an author, Justin served in the Marines and has lived in Japan, Korea, and Italy. He recently joined the Self Publishing Answers podcast as a third co-host.

You'll get hard-line, practical advice from real industry experts, demonstrating exactly how lucrative—financially and spiritually—a creative writing career can be. Learn from real pros, who are doing this work daily and succeeding at it. And rather than canned and panned advice from would-bes, you can learn from people who have actually done this work, and who love it and know what it can be.I highly recommend this volume, and it's predecessor, to anyone even considering a writing career. It's the advice I wish I'd gotten early on, and it's filled with gems that can help new and seasons writers alike.
