The witch looked just like Merrie. She was upset he was not her true mate so she cursed him to be alone until he found his mate.Craig realizes Merrie is actually his true mate and she is helping break the curse that has kept him alone. Merrie is trying to be independent and operate a little shop. She has always felt insecure when compared to the powers her mother and sister have. She feels the same attraction to Craig and is not sure why he acts so passionate and then pushes her away. As secrets unravel about their pasts, it gets harder and harder for them to find a way to be together.It is a really good story with an interesting twist you don't expect. Craig and Merrie have great chemistry and are fun to spend time with as they explore that attraction.I received a copy in return for a honest review.

Craig is a bear shifter that was cursed years ago by a witch that he accidentally broke her heart. He would not be able to have sex until he was with his true mate. Then, he meets Merrie, who is also a witch, but who he is instantly attracted to. Another witch is his true mate? This book has lots of twists and turns, and there is some real scorching heat between Merrie and Craig. I received this book from the author in return for an honest review. I highly recommend this book. With four more brothers, I am looking forward to more.

Due to fear, impatience, poor communication, and a break down in trust in the creator, the two main characters spend 87 years in needless pain. Good thing they are long lived! Once they DO open up to one another, the empathetic bond is helpful in clearing up some emotional misunderstandings. It would seem that the cast of characters has not learned a whole lot from the experience though, which leads readers into the possible next book.Thank you for this fun ARC read in exchange for an honest review.
