Her powers of observation are Capote-like. Her sense of humor reminds me of Harlan Coben. And her honesty ... My goodness. I'm halfway thru and more than once I've laughed out loud and then cried from one graf to the next. Sometimes it seems from one sentence to the next. Her talent is immense. She is utterly gifted. There are no bounds to what she could accomplish as a writer.

As a future nurse (graduating in less than two weeks) it has reinforced every reason why I want to be a nurse. This book is so inspiring not only for me to be the best nurse I can be but also about life in general. I definitely recommend this to anyone!!

You will finish it, and put it down, and think. And then, you'll see the book a few days later and think, I need to share this with someone... with my friends, my family, my church, with my students. The book reads like Mary slammin' the screen door in a Springsteen song, you know, she doesn't quite understand her own action at that moment, but believes in herself. And by the end, Miss Maniscalco is in the drivers seat, and you're going to want to be on board!
