She wakes up surrounded in nothing but darkness to discover that she did indeed get taken by Asher's pack. Man this installment killed me I was not prepared for Pack Wars at all. Every sentence was filled with such emotion that kept me sucked in. My heart broke for Neve. She was alone, captured because Asher's need for revenge would not go away. Each day that goes by she gets weaker because she is sick without Tucker there to fill her need. It wasn't easy reading about what was happening to her as she weakened, it was heart breaking I wanted her to be saved by someone already! Be prepared for this one because it gets real for Neve. A decision needs to be made if she wants to survive, even if she somehow feels like she will be committing an act of betrayal at the same time. This was such an emotional ride. And that ending!!! I can not wait to read how this is going to end even though I don't want this story to end! I can't even predict how this is all going unravel in the next and final installment.

By ahhmericanwoman I was given a free ARC of this book in exchange for an honest review.This was a a hard episode of the story to read. Not that it wasn't interesting. It was very interesting! But it was a painfully emotional read after finishing the previous episode. Neve has been stolen away by a rival pack and she is in their custody for all of this episode. She longs to be back with her own pack, but she can't even feel them in her heart anymore. Plus she is sick, and the cure she need is something she doesn't want. She must decide whether to accept the cure, or whether she'd rather die.It's making me sad just writing this and thinking about it. But although this episode is so sad, it is all necessary at this point in the story for the continuity of what's going on. So don't skip it! It's stuff that is all important to the story!I'm anxious to read the final episode and see how this story resolves itself. I am really hoping everything gets better. Please!

By Beth in Ohio Part 4, the suspense builds and builds and builds! If I could give this series 10 stars I most definitely would in a heart beat!Tucker is gone, Mal is gone, the pack is gone, what to do now? Neve is alone and becomes sick but it's not the flu, it's only something an Alpha can solve. Neve has been taken by Asher's pack as revenge for Asher's mate's death, resulting in a pack war, so what will he do to exact his revenge on Neve?This installment was an emotional roller coaster for me, Neve is desperate and sick and alone (with Tucker gone, she has also lost her connection to the rest of the her pack) she tries to reach out to them or hear them and it causes her physical pain to do so.At one point Asher allows her to leave and try and go back to Michigan (they are in Kentucky at this point). She is getting sicker and Luke knows that to help her they could have sex so she finds solace in the arms of Luke (Asher's brother and Pat's son) who helps her with her sickness but the "cure" doesn't last more then an hour or so and then she is right back where she started from. Finally she realizes that Asher never intended her to leave but she starts to walk and gets to a highway but Asher stops her and takes her back to the pack compound.Neve is torn between missing, losing and still, very much loving Tucker and wanting to find the cure for her sickness but only Asher (the Alpha of the enemy pack) can cure her and she is finding it more and more difficult to say no to the unthinkable. What will she do, choose life or death to put an end to her sickness and her grief for Tucker? Will her old pack find her and rescue her? Will she stay with the new pack or fight her way home?I confess, I found this installment difficult to read because of the angst that Neve goes through and also her soul-crushing grief of losing Tucker. I hated the choice that Neve had to face and I found that hard to read but in the end Neve chooses the cure and life.Kimber is a writing goddess and she is keeping me at the edge of my seat. I can't wait to read Part 5 to find out how this story ends but I don't want to read Part 5 because that means that this story is over.I received this book free in exchange for an open and honest review. Regardless, of that this is an awesome series and the build up to the end has been nothing short of awwwwwmazing!! If you haven't starting reading this series, it does NOT disappoint! 10 + stars!!!
