Along with the winning entry, Janice Sage (the current Innkeeper) tells of her dream and how fate stepped in and brought her to Maine.

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. Memories brought back of a beautiful, peaceful place. By Wendy Really enjoyed the wonderful memories that came back as I read the book. Such a beautiful place to visit, loved the view of the mountains in the fall, the sunsets and the swimming in the lake in the summer when the boys were small. Loved the romantic touches that Susie placed about the Inn, bringing the feeling of days gone by. The pace slowed whenever we went to visit. And of course, the food was always fabulous. What a great story about the Essay contest too. The deal of the Century! Saddened when Susie and Bill passed the Inn along to the next owners, but what a great way to make sure someone who would care for and love the Inn the way they had by holding the Essay Contest. I had several friends who entered too.

I enjoyed reading the history of this beautiful inn By Symbols Of Love Interesting biography and historic events of the Center Lovell Inn, located in Maine. I purchased this book to gain some insight into the winning essay content back in 1993. I enjoyed reading the history of this beautiful inn.
