The chapters are too short and dumbed down; they should be longer and more informative.. The book needs editing and proofreading; there are typos and misspellings. The book lacks listing of sources, proper index, and bibliography. The author should rewrite the book using the above suggestions.

I was really happy to see a second one and had to grab it. Mike Riley's continues here where he left off in the first book with more unsolved murder mysteries that are even more surprising than in the first one. There are eighteen cases covering a period of time from1904 to 2009. All the cases are presented with the same structure which include a presentation of the fact where, who, when, then you you have the backstory which gives us details relevant prior to the murder(s), then Riley describes the day of the murder in the day in question where there is a detailed description of the murder and crime scene. After you have what happened during the investigation. Finally for each case Riley presents the current status. By doing so, each case is easy to read and follow as all the facts are presented and you can make your own opinion on each one. Did the main suspect did it? Did the police do a good job during the investigation? Why can murder remain unsolved for so long? So many questions remain and you think about how horrible those crimes are and how unfair that justice has not been served and somebody got away with murder...again. I especially like the cases of mobster Sam Giancana and the strange case of Lili Linderstrom in Sweeden.Overall, the book is very well written and well researched. I really like the way each unsolved murder case is presented. Also, the cases Riley wrote about are fascinating and chilling to the bone. Keep them coming Mr. Riley, love to read some more! Highly recommended to anyone who enjoy reading about true crime and unsolved murders.

I really enjoy the way this author writes. The crimes are all so strange and, as the title says, unsolved. The vampire murder really intrigued me but the homecoming babysitter really had me.I love reading these books but also read them for a second and third time when on vacation, they are perfect lounging by the pool (does that make me weird? Probably!) I like interesting true crime books and this one does not disappoint. Looking forward to the next book already Riley.
