Nash has developed some interesting dynamics between the different shifter groups in this novel. Each stands on its own yet the entire shifter community still comes together as one at times. This creates an intriguing backdrop for the plot that Nash brings forward. Her vibrant descriptions bring things to life as the spicy yet difficult relationship between the main characters blossoms.I loved the dynamic between the main characters in this novel. It was such an ever-changing thing that you could really feel the realism on top. Powerplay and equality both play an important role. The supporting characters were also a lot of fun to get to know. This is one of those novels that can easily be read on its own but for the full context on all of the supporting characters and their pasts, the previous novels in the series would come in handy.As a whole, this was a very enjoyable read. It has definitely sparked my interest in this series & this author’s work at large.Please note that I received a complimentary copy of this work in exchange for an honest review.

Armed with an MBA, he handles the family's financial holdings and acquisitions. Ruby O'Shea, alongside her twin, Rafe, is co-alpha of the Blood Moon wolf pack. Carter has loved her for years, but she hasn't been ready, focused solely on the needs of her pack. Then a matchmaker sets Carter up on three disastrous dates within a week and Ruby receives a proposal for a marriage of political convenience from the alpha of the SilverLine pack. Commiserating over a bottle of tequila, they compare their worst date ever stories and find the spark between them that was absent with everyone else. But Carter isn't an alpha, and Ruby is afraid being seen with him will make her a target and talks him into a secret two week trial period. What she doesn't stop to consider is that an easygoing lion, regardless of status in the Pride, will always protect his mate. Even an independent alpha mate.This is an excellent addition to the Pride series. I recommend the books be read in order since the storyline builds. And I'm really looking forward to the next book in the series.
1 of 1 people found the following review helpful. Chase By bbwritten We finally get Chase in this book. Yeah! But really who you gonna call for a yoga doing chill killer lion - a ball busting drink slinging wolf who may like to be tied down. A match made in heaven.
