0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. cerebral yet moving By Naomi Raab This novel is a very cerebral novel about a man's search for spiritual meaning and yet it is strangely, gently moving also. The story takes you on the journey of Richard Kline, a man perpetually dissatisfied with life and unable to really connect with anyone or anything. An intelligent, insightful soul, he seems destined to disappointment and depression despite amazing jobs and no shortage of partners. The book tells the story of his eventually finding peace after years of searching. The writing is intelligent and accessible.By this I mean it is very easy to relate to, it is restrained without any feel of New Age preaching. There is a gentle sadness and beauty to the book which is quite moving at times. Reading the book you are very much inside the head of the protagonist.. often I wanted to know more about how his wife felt, or more about his childhood etc but the book remains true to the very soul of Richard Kline with little distraction from a back story.
