By The Book Runner This was a frustrating story that had unrealistic characters or at the very least, an extremely stupid heroine. Ashton and Luca had grown up being best friends and neighbors, but when his father dies, he pushes her out of his life and seven years later, they have no relationship at all despite living next door to each other. Ashton is popular, beautiful and snobby. Luca is a "freak" with tattoos, emo attire and a band member. Each can't stand what the other has become.Then Ashton's best friend Kance betrays her socially and romantically in the worst way and Ashton becomes an outcast with no friends. Luca, feeling sorry for her, agrees to pretend to be her boyfriend after he has gone through his own major external overhaul and becomes a gorgeous guy. While battling their true feelings for each other and their bodies' natural desire for each other, Ashton continues to be snobby and selfish while Luca begins to see a small speck of who she used to be.Start Spoilers****It is Ashton's stupid behavior that really kills this story. Not only does she choose the wrong guy based on popularity, but she forgives her backstabbing friend setting her up to stab her again - Big Time! Luca isn't free from stupid either as he declares his love for Ashton but betrays her at the first chance he gets. It is never clear if he is drunk or swallowed a date rape drug, but come on! Also, Yuri's relationship with Luca doesn't make any sense.I just found this story frustrating and somewhat stupid. The sexual situations were flat and the feelings afterward were confusing. The ending just made me mad. Lucas messes up, refuses to pursue Ashton and just gives up. Ashton realizes that she never gave Lucas a chance to explain and pursues him two hours out of town and tells him SHE is sorry. He messed up, and SHE is sorry?! Come on, get a back bone. The ending was just too fast and just wrong. END Spoilers***I found myself skimming all the extra boring details, especially in the beginning and will not be reading any more in this series. I just can't take the stupid characters.Would I/Did I buy it? Yes (.99)Would I read it again? NoWould I recommend it to friends? Not really

The main female character in this story is so mean and unlikeable. The whole story was entirely to shallow for my liking. I read a lot of books. It is what I do to relax. I will admit that because I was so bored I skimmed this story a lot. The description was much better then the story.

IMPOSSIBLE wasn’t anything spectacular, nor was it downright horrible. Just okay.The main characters were kind of a cliché for me. Popular pretty girl meets hot emo guy. Ashton was really unlikeable. She came off as this shallow high school cheerleader who thinks everyone outside of her circle is beneath her. Luca wasn’t much better. He’s as judgmental as Ashton and thinks all the popular kids are bad. There were also the usual jocks and cheerleaders. Character-wise, this book was full of stereotypes.There’s not much depth in the story, too. It felt like the story’s going in circles, focusing on Ashton’s and Luca’s dislike towards each other and the former’s obsession with climbing back up the social ladder. Luca’s makeover was also downplayed. I think it was supposed to be a turning point in the story so it was disappointing that it wasn’t given much focus. And it was really insensitive of Ashton to use Luca like that. I swear, a lot of times I really want to strangle the girl. It was kinda frustrating. One minute, they can’t stand each other. The next, they can’t get enough of each other. I was so relieved when they finally got their stuffs together and figured everything out.Its most redeeming quality though is that the characters owned their mistakes and learned from them. It’s a good thing that Ashton and Luca both transformed into better persons because of those mistakes. They were able to let go of the past and move forward to a fresh start together.IMPOSSIBLE is a light read, but it didn’t quite work for me. It might appeal to your tastes but I wouldn’t be too enthusiastic in recommending this book.
