Little does he know that fate has more than a promise in store for himHe is blindsided by Whitney who is not only his best friend's sister and only living relative but his fated mate. The only problem is that he cannot have a mate. He has another promise to fulfill and a mission to complete and a need to keep his team safe and home in one piece. But, he stays and helps her get the house ready for sale. All the while fighting his need to have his mate. Finally he succumbs and leaves the next day to complete his mission?? Can love find a way?? Can he survive to get back to Whitney?? Can she forgive him and accept him and his bear?Read and see how this plays Out. I think you will like it.

Whitney is heartbroken over the loss of her brother Sam. Her restaurant burned down, and now she must put her cherished home up for sale. Kyle is upset to learn that Whitney has so much sadness and stress. I love the story that follows. He offers to do the much needed repairs to aid the sale of the house. Whitney can't believe that this handsome hunk wants to help her. As the attraction grows on both sides, Kyle struggles to hold off his bears desire to claim her. Kyle has to return to his unit for one more mission. Leaving for a mission after revealing his bear would only confuse Whitney. The hot sex and intense emotions slowly build up, adding real interest and a good flow to the stories resolution. I enjoyed the characters and the caring dialogue.

By Heather123 A short, quick read about a soldier who tries to fulfill a wish of a fallen soldier by taking care of his family. Kyle appears on Whitney's doorstep out of no where and despite her best efforts, he doesn't leave instead insisting on helping her with various tasks around the house that need to be completed before she can sale the home.One thing that really bothered me about this story was that when Kyle told Whitney that he was a bear shifter she just accepted this. It wasn't clear that this was something that her society was used to or that she had any previous knowledge of bear shifters. I wanted questions, explanations, surprise, shock....something. It was kind of a let down in that sense.** ARC received from Netgalley in exchange for an honest review **
