6 of 6 people found the following review helpful. Don't waste your money By Brian J. Barer Don't waste your money...There is nothing in this book worth reading that you can't reason for yourself. There is no information on how to seell other than buy low and sell high. No tips or tricks, no technical information or any detail on how to sell on E-bay. It is basically a pamphlet with few half filled pages of anecdotal info such as buy things cheap anywhere you can and try to sell them for more money on e-bay. The only one making money is the auther by selling a useless pamphlet as a know how book. Even the slowest reader will be able to read this in less than 30 minutes it is so brief. As for starting with a $100 good luck finding that in this book the only referance to that is on the first page where the auther just states he had a $100 left and spent it all on things to sell but never says what he boaught or how he sold them....But then again I bought the book so whos the fool.....Live and learn but take my advise move on from this book...
6 of 7 people found the following review helpful. Not that helpful By John Sweeney I've read many books on the same subject. This one is no different. I was looking for drop shipment sales and selling other people's products. None of that is here. The way Marc sets up his process involves a lot of hands-on attention and work, by going to local garage sales, swap meets, having an Ebay watch list and bidding at the last minute. He also suggests going to local auctions, buying from Craigslist and storing items in my home while waiting for the right time to sell. If I was going to work that hard, I would want a better paying and more reliable job. Even then with all the packing and shipping duties, the customer complaints and fees to Ebay, it hardly seems like more than a good part-time job.

This is probably one of the better books I have read on the topic. For a beginner, the information is concise, clear and extremely helpful! I had no idea how many people utilized eBay for both buying and selling. This wonderful book also explains rules (dos and don’ts) and the legality of becoming a buyer on this particular platform. Marc gave so many great ideas on the types of items one could sell! It really opened my eyes up to the possibilities. I had read other books just out of curiosity, with no intention of ever trying to open my own store, but this book may have changed my mind! This is absolutely a must read for anyone even contemplating a business on eBay or even becoming an occasional seller.
