Awesome Conclusion to an Exceptional Apocalyptic Series - Great Read By Jas P This is the third and final part in the series and brings it all together, concluding the series nicely, whilst still giving enough latitude for crossover into the Collapse series for some of the main characters if wanted.The Zero Trilogy is a great series, again showing Summer Lanes exceptional character writing skills, and over the three books, she allows her characters to grow, as well as giving them a great back story. My only minor complaint might be that some of the minor characters disappear and we never find out what happens to them (although this might occur in the crossover I mentioned?)Zero Trilogy was a bit darker than Collapse was at the start, with a different perspective of the apocalypse at a grittier level. Summer has done a lot of research to give her world a realistic feel, making it an exceptionally good read.As I said, the characters are the highlight of Summer Lane’s work, and this is no exception. Elle brings the story to life with her narrative of the apocalyptic world as she struggles to cope with her continuing battle against Omega and her journey to Sacramento. Summer does a wonderful job of running through the emotional spectrum with sadness, loneliness, tragedy, loss, young love, as well as those emotions associated with war. She does it so well that you can really associate with the characters.Of course the book still has the best character to be introduced into the Collapse/Zero worldscape – Bravo – who is just brilliant. Bravo the bomb dog brings a new element of fun to the story. Bravo is brave and courageous when needed, but also highly amusing and gives a comedic outlet that leaves you laughing.This is a brilliant ending to a great series, and its well worth the read!If you like apocalyptic series, or action series, then you should read this, start with ‘Zero Day’ and make sure you stay with it, it's a great read and well worth it! This is great as a standalone series or in conjunction with the Collapse Series.

Strong Series Conclusion That Also Stands On It's Own By Roberta Trahan A compelling survival story about a girl and her dog in search of safety and belonging in a post-apocalyptic world. Elle is a believable protagonist who quickly engages the reader and carries them along on her journey through a dark and dangerous landscape. While it is somewhat predictable, the plot is steadily paced and Elle's world and relationships are well drawn. Although this book is the intended conclusion of a series, it is a fully developed and satisfying stand alone read - a best fit for young teen readers (ages 12-14), but will also appeal to older YA and adult fans of dystopian and post-apocalyptic fiction.

Although this book falls in with the Collapse series, it is also a very independent series that stands completely alone. Well written characters -- that learn survival is much easier working as a team than going it alone. Even Bravo,a military working dog befriended by Elle, forms an unbreakable bond proving that a woman's best friend could be a dog just as easily as it could with any man.I thoroughly enjoyed reading this series and seeing the coming war from a different perspective than from Cassidy Hart and her allies.
