But done as a very human view to the consequences of power created thru advancement. Done in a building wave of new concepts following each in a wave that takes you off the Earth and into space then beyond. The old saying of "I could not put the book down" is true. I have a new favorite author and look forward to future reads .

The characters were gaining in depth and two characters you thought were done were resurrected. Zircos and Ship had sailed off into distant space and appeared to be out of the story line. Then they reappear apparently helping the Nubl Chiefs to prepare to destroy Earth. Zeke continues to evolve as does Pod in some unexpected ways. And with the Nubl nearing our solar system the final battle is ready to begin. And the outcome is as unexpected as any I have seen. And just when you expect a great finale the epilogue leaves you flat. It feels like Mr. Roote couldn't decide exactly how to leave his characters so he leaves them in limbo. I have enthusiastically read each of the three books in this series and found them hard to put down. I think that are well worth the time put into reading them. My only critique is in the weak ending for Zeke and Pod. I wanted to know if they found their way back into the biological society. How did they work with that society as they rebuilt the culture? Hopefully Mr. Roote has left it vague so that he can write more sequels explaining these things. I hope so.

Klaire created a world I got lost in. I got lost from the 1st word in the book. Then Stayed up way to late! I loved how all the characters came to life in my reading of the book! They are larger than life! I like how the characters interact with each other! There is a little bit of everything in this book! I laughed, cried & was frustrated & rejoyced with the characters in the book. It is well written & I would recommend this book if you would like to be taken away to a world that you can get lost in! This book is very very very exciting!

This book maybe dark for some readers ( for myself I love the darker side) but there was something very traumatic that had happened to Bella, now she's pregnant, and as Mac is closing near he can scent her. With what her experience has left her, she wants Mac gone , but sometimes fate intervenes, what if she is his mate? Can he get close enough to find out?? You can read this as a stand alone, but to get a better picture you might want to read book one first. Received this arc for an honest review

Las hadas no son como yo pensaba By Pilar Lepe El Cìrculo de las hadas es uan fantasía con algo de romance y terror que se lleva acabo en Nueva York, tanto en la ciudad como en las afueras del estado. Te aseguro que después de leer esta novela, a la que no le falta el romance y el toque sexy, no volverás a pensar en las hadas como las de los cuentos de niños. En definitiva me encantó, Lynn escribe de una forma que te atrapa entre sus letras, porque es elegante y sencilla a la vez. La recomiendo al 100%

You knew her to be dishonest in her analysis of y'all's relationship as posted on FB for example. I know there are several men out there she "did a number on" mentally, financially, & career wise. The icing on your cake is smeared & ruined....heal yourself & move on. Some of our best lessons in life can oft be the most tragic. But, learn we do. Love again, Jimmy....there is a good woman out there who would love to have you in their life.

You never know what this nut job was going to do next to the person she supposed to be in love with. I mean she was 'Known" around the hospital and she knew it, she abandons her kids which it seems they were better off but yet she was jealous, she goes on their first date at a pool party. Not knowing he was going to ask her to stay the night. Then she gets undressed in front of him like it was nothing goes into the bathroom and comes out in a teddy....... Looks like she is prepared at all times. She must have a suitcase in her car "In case of emergencies" filled with teddies for any occasion, whips and chains shoot maybe even a stripper pole too. Next she tells him he needs to pleasure her multiple times "REALLY"! Look at this guy! Who does that anyway? Must I go on? I don't want to ruin it for the new readers. But I did come to a conclusion that it was his competitive side that drove him to this "Been around the ER" girl! He saw her as a poker game, to turn a Joker into a Queen. Which we all know you can't turn a whore into a house wife. I mean if she didn't care for her own kids, how will she ever care for anyone else but herself!!!!!!!!!! It was a really good Biography filled with twists and turns and moments of OMG! Its a must read book!!!!!!!!

There's an interesting transition from the initial literary efforts, which are the fulsome prose of a bygone age, through tough-talking noir of the '30s and '40s, to the brisk twists of the postwar era. 11 of 11 people found the following review helpful. A slow start with a good ending By travlgrl81 Let me just start by saying this is not the first Posie Graeme-Evans book I've read. I loved all of them and truly felt transported. This time the trip took a little longer. The heroine, Jesse Marley, was not my favorite. I wanted her to get on with things that dragged on for chapters. I automatically knew who the love interest was, but that happened so fast it was barely plausible. Towards the end, I finally started getting some pay-off. So, my advice for anyone considering reading this book. 1. If it's your first by this author, read The Exile instead. 2. If you can really be patient with the story, eventually you'll be rewarded.

I need to qualify this review by saying that Posie G-E and I met some years ago and became friends and I received this book as an honorary ARC. She had never divulged to me the way this book would unfold, which makes the reading of it so much more special. And enlightening.As with any review I have done through the years, I avoid regurgitating the plot and subsequently any spoilers for future readers.So: bottom line for me in any book is this: does it entertain me? For that, read does it keep me engaged?Wild Wood did.It’s an interesting ‘time slip’ novel, and to be honest, ‘time slip’ hasn’t ever really caught my interest. But Wild Wood allows one to look at a Norman timeframe from a 1980’s viewpoint and it is only a short step into Chapter One before the first threads of the Norman setting begin to loop through the narrative. I found that intriguing.Posie’s settings are always beautifully researched and rendered and thus eminently believable.I also found the characters’ points of view handled with real finesse. Many writers would shrink from attempting the multi viewpoints but it is handled with slick ease in Wild Wood. It gives the novel depth and as one reads, one becomes deeply involved with both timeframes via the characters’ experiences and thoughts.Posie is also a master of the nuance. It is perhaps why she has excelled at TV drama production and there were times as I continued through the novel, where I felt fear and anxiety, just the way her characters did.My favourite characters were of course the Normans – they are raw and edgy and for me, I love to escape through the prism of history.The modern characters had depth, don’t doubt it, and their responses to the confronting situations thrown their way showed an understanding of human nature that would be the envy of many writers. Posie wove past and present lives together into the most flawless and exciting way so that the denoument flowed naturally rather then being lost in a tangle. When I finished the novel, I said to myself, ‘Wow. She pulled it off!”This book is highly recommended.

Seeking the present in the past By carolynfromoz Growing up in Australia Jesse Marley was shocked when she accidentally discovered that she was born in England and adopted at birth. When her parents refuse to tell her anything about her birth or original family, she travels to the UK to find out the truth herself. However, after an accident results in a head injury and hospitalisation, Jesse finds herself listening to a strange inner voice and drawing detailed pictures of a castle and place she has never seen.This story is told in two time frames, Jesse's quest to find more about her birth in 1981 and that of the Norman family Dieudonné in 1321. That there is a link between the events that nearly destroyed the Dieudonnés and their family seat Hundredfield, and Jesse's tale in current times becomes clear as the stories progress.Both stories are engrossing and filled with great characters. In 1321 Hundredfield is ruled by the oldest Dieudonné brother, Godefroi who is proud and arrogant but totally smitten with his new wife, the middle brother Maugris, a fighter and strategist and the youngest Bayard, the narrator, who is more caring and sympathetic to the plight of the peasants in the village who are slowly starving to death. Hundredfield is surrounded by ancient woods and superstition and ancient tales such as those of the wild faery Hunt and the Lady of the Forest who appears when she is most needed are deeply ingrained in people's beliefs in the 14th century. They also still linger in modern times when Jesse finds herself visiting Hundredfield in her quest to unlock her family secrets.The writing was very evocative, giving a real feel of the harshness of 14th century life in a cold stone castle and the wildness of the woods and countryside. The two interwoven stories were told in different narrative styles which made it easy to follow the changes between the two threads and switching between the two parallel stories also helped to maintain the tension in each story. Definitely a page-turner!

But bright, entertaining pieces on travel ("Dateline Erotica," on London), movies and literature ("Real Men Eat Cliches") offer compensation. From Library Journal Jenkins, who pioneered the good-old-boy style of sportswriting (for example, his much earlier works: Semi-Tough , LJ 10/15/72; Dead Solid Perfect , LJ 10/1/74), serves up more of the same in this collection of articles culled mainly from his magazine and newspaper columns. He covers topics that range from auto racing to tennis, but center mostly on what he considers the engaging sports (collegiate football, golf) as opposed to the tedious (ice hockey, soccer, etc.). Sprinkled throughout are the salty characters and dialogue his devotees would expect. A discordant note is his fascination with lists that frequently border on the trivial (who, for example, really needs a list of Heisman Trophy losers?).
