Another Sleepless Night Reading This Book By Kindle Customer Ian and Lance are just your typical 13 year old wise-cracking Boy Scout buddies, chasing merit badges and, no doubt, driving their possibly over indulgent parents just a little crazy. Not exactly steely-eyed survivalist-types, but there are hints early on when they get their next martial arts belts, and then start talking guns. They are good kids, though, and their juvenile banter is strangely endearing as the world begins to fall apart around them. This story gets off to a fast start and the middle portion of the story is breakneck fast and dangerous. I loved the little girls in the mix and their silly "Frozen" snowman song, as well as the reaction by the boys, who surely know the song by heart. Just a touch of Bruce and Mike as tiny teenagers. I hope the sequel is already written.All in all, a great start to a new story by the talented Thomas A Watson. Read it.

By Sherry Clifton I have to say that I read all the reviews for this book and was worried but bought it because I didn't have anything to read. I am so glad that I did! This book sucked me in and didn't let me go until I read the last page. When I was supposed to be working, what was I doing? Reading this book. Making dinner? I was holding my kindle in one hand and stirring supper with the other.The story pulled me in from the first paragraph. The characters are so rich and real that you feel that you are standing behind them watching everything take place.I'm going to have a hard time waiting for the next book in this series. Please, please don't keep us waiting too long.I won't go into detail here because anything I say will take away from the story.Buy it. Read it. Judge for yourself.

By Dowsehouse this is a fun and scary read. the author is wonderful and I love all of his books. this is from the viewpoint of two thirteen year old boys at the start of the end of everything that they know. I loved the story and even thou it is scary and intense it has moments of humor that I loved. I highly recommend this book and this author. Once you try it you will want to read all the books written by this author.,
