The best 'How to' book I have read on Google AdWords - a must for business owners By Sarah Houldcroft If you are thinking of using Google AdWords in your business then this is definitely the book for you. It is easy to read and explains everything in a clear way with plenty of screenshots to help you.Jackie Key certainly knows what she is writing about. She offers advice on keywords to use in your ads and has also included a comprehensive glossary. Ideal for the beginner and those with some, but not quite enough, knowledge to get to grips with Google AdWords. Jackie Key has also included a discount off courses she runs for those readers who have bought the book so this really is a terrific buy.

If you want success without work, this is not for you. However, if you are an entrepreneur who is about results, particularly on how to make an impact on social media, this IS your book. The Big Spark is a quick read, focusing on the WHAT, and and even throwing in some of the HOW, in short, straight-to-the-point sections. Reminiscent of the old maxim "you can lead a horse to water but you can't make him drink", this book guides you to all of the watering spots, but lets you know that you have to put in the time and do the work.I like the daily "20 minute" time tool, which is similar to the "10 minute" time tool that I've been preaching for years. Either way, he talks about how intentionally extracting small amounts of time can change your business success, learning, customer interactions, personal growth, and in short, big results and more profits.T Ray Greer Jr himself is entrepreneur who uses his own advice and has shown great success on social media. He's an incredible public speaker as well.UPDATE: My wife, a busy entrepreneur in her own right, stole the book from me!

By Gary Taylor, MBA I've READ several and I mean SEVERAL books on strategies and they're all the same in my opinion. Just the same stuff said in a completely different way. I don’t know about you but I like to spend my money on quality.This book comes out straight forward and doesn't sell you a dream. It’s not a lot of pages to read and that made me nervous at first. However, every word is on point and not one letter is wasted. I have learned more from THE BIG SPARK than all these so called expert writers I’ve read. Maybe that’s why the book is so powerful. This guy isn't a writer talking about a subject he has studied. However, he is an entrepreneur sharing his personal experiences and how he was able to find his target audience through 21st Century tools. It teaches from social media all the way to agencies that I’ve never heard of before in my live. I have already order enough copies for my entire marketing department to read and his principles are already being implemented as we speak.This book is impeccable for anyone looking to develop their businesses in a very professional way. About the Author Timothy Shay Arthur (1809 – 1885) was a popular 19th-century American author. He is most famous for his temperance novel Ten Nights in a Bar-Room and What I Saw There, which helped demonize alcohol in the eyes of the American public. He was also the author of dozens of stories for Godey's Lady's Book, the most popular American monthly magazine in the antebellum era, and he published and edited his own Arthur's Home Magazine, a periodical in the Godey's model, for many years. Arthur did much to articulate and disseminate the values, beliefs, and habits that defined respectable, decorous middle-class life in antebellum America. As a young man, Arthur devoted as much time as he could to reading and fledgling attempts to write. By 1830, he had begun to appear in local literary magazines. He also participated in an informal literary coterie called the Seven Stars (the name drawn from that of the tavern in which they met), whose members also included Edgar Allan Poe.The 1830s saw Arthur mount a number of efforts to become a professional author and publisher. 1854 was also the year Arthur published Ten Nights in a Bar-Room. The novel sold well, but insinuated itself in the public consciousness largely on the basis of a very popular stage version that appeared soon after the book. The play remained in continuous production well into the 20th century when at least two movie versions were made. Arthur attained great popularity while he lived, but was not well regarded by the era’s literati. His old acquaintance Poe, for example, wrote in Graham's Magazine that Arthur was "uneducated and too fond of mere vulgarities to please a refined taste." Conscious of his own lack of brilliance, Arthur thought stories should impart beneficial life lessons by means of plainly written, realistically depicted scenes. Though often ruined by strident moralism and pious sentimentalism, Arthur's writing at its best—as in Ten Nights in a Bar-Room—can be both brisk and poignant. Arthur's ideas seem simplistic, even oppressive, today, but many readers in his time found him relevant, helpful, reassuring, and compelling.

Orion Pozo Having been raised myself in a bar next door to the author's home town of Fort Montgomery, I am fascinated to read what is called the best Temperance novel of the 19th century. Set in the 1850s, this morality tale portrays the evil of alcohol in the story of a mill owner who sells his mill to build a tavern in town. Told by a visitor to the town who stays at the tavern for ten days over a period of ten years, he shows how customers and owner are all too weak to resist the temptations of demon rum. An interesting look at pro-temperance literature of the 19th century.

I consider it very dramatical and thrilling. It alsou points to various interesting philosophical questions, which never lose actuality. It is not too long, but I consider the german edition rather difficult for people who are learning german as a foreign language.

I had found out about the comic book much later, but could never get around to picking it up. The newer hardcover was coming out, and seemed to be in a more large format size, so I snatched it up. I was not disappointed. The book is a quick sit, easily read in one go. The thing that will keep you going back, or take the most time, is Darrow's artwork. Ultra-detailed, and insanely well done. The sense of scale is incredible. Being someone who really enjoys Kaiju movies, and a lot of the history with giant monster movies from Toho and such, I really appreciated the amount of care that went into the book. There's a lot of drawn in references to popular Japanese culture, which is a neat touch.Its hard not to recommend this version of Big Guy and Rusty.

By Alex Having seen the show as a child, I felt like I should have picked it up just to relive some of the nostalgia of being a kid again. I kept my eye on this, seeing that it would be an update to the original. It's a very neat hardcover, solid quality. I was expecting it to be similar to the cartoon, but this was definitely aimed at an older audience, which is great since I'm old now too. The art is amazing and detailed. The story setting is typical in the giant monster sense, but the characters and action are what makes it shine. Seeing this updated makes me hope that there are strings being pulled to make more Big Guy and Rusty. I liked it and it definitely has the potential to become more.

He writes about a tranquil section of northwestern Maine where his protagonist, Sal D'Amico has settled. Sal, who was once a renowned author, penned a celebrated novel on par with Kerouac's classic, "On the Road". He has since shunned the spotlights and now takes pleasure as a fly fishing guide for tourists visiting the area. Romano's latest book in the series, "Brook Trout Blues" finds Sal dealing with his rekindled fame due to a movie being shot in the area which is based upon Sal's daughter's recently acclaimed novels. Romano's novels are not just for fly fishing enthusiasts. His free flowing prose captures the essence of small town friendships, the wonders of nature, and man's place in the ecological marvel that is our planet. Sal's love of nature exudes from every page. His quest to understand it is a never ending exploration. He is not above nature but part of it. His best friends include his dog who is always by his side and a pet flying squirrel, which Sal once rescued. As he trolls the rivers and creeks, he points out to his patrons, fawns taking their first steps, eagles soaring on a breeze... They are as much a part of the story as Romano's characters. Romano's insight into Sal's life offers a peek into our own lives. We feel Sal's chronic leg pain as he goes about his daily chores. We feel his determination to understand his lapsing into old age. We feel his despair in watching his friend's bout with the bottle caused by financial difficulties. The juxtaposition of Romano's characters' daily struggles....with Paradise as its backdrop is not lost on the reader. Among all of life's difficulties, Sal marvels at his aging dog's resilience. He admires the dog's almost Buddhist demeanor. Perhaps animals do offer the best insight into the soul. I highly recommend reading all of Robert Romano's books. Romano skillfully chronicles our relationships with our fellow men and nature. You will not be disappointed.

In Brook Trout Blues he successfully juggles multiple story lines and makes them all work. The leading character Sal, a fishing guide in a very small community in western Maine, has several significant things happening in his life, a life which he wants to simple simple and uncluttered. Among other things one of his best friends has mysteriously disappeared, a Hollywood movie is being made in town and it is based on his daughter's book and his girlfriend is being very distance. All of these things have significant events that surround them and the outcomes are not as simple as Sal may have chosen but you cannot always choose how your own life goes, As the book reminds us "one day you're up and the next you're down."People who have had the good fortune to spend time in this remote section of northern New England will really appreciate Romano's writing. The real enjoyment, at least for me, is that the real essence of this beautiful area comes thru in his words. I am looking for to his next book to see what happens to Sal and Baily and ....

I handed off my carefully formatted technical documents to a translation vendor, then I waited waited waited while the translators (working as fast as they could) extracted the text from my documents, put the English text into a form that translators could handle, sent that text out to be transformed into some number of languages, then forwarded all the translated text over to a desktop-publishing expert to reformat everything. Let's not even talk about what it took to translate the text inside graphics. Finally finally finally, the translated documents looked more or less like the originals.Oh, the delays. Oh, the costs.When XML came along into the lives of many technical writers, it took some of the inefficiency out of the formatting and reformatting. But it wasn't until XLIFF was developed—thanks to this book's authors, Bryan Schnabel, Rocolfo Raya, and JoAnn Hackos—that the translation part of the workflow could be truly automated.I wish XLIFF had been around back when I was handing off my docs and then waiting, waiting, waiting...Is this book for you? Charlie converts the shack into something resembling a holiday home. Carrie home tutors all three of her children and works as a curator in the local Maritime Museum. Theo, her eldest son, is quite brilliant; Phoebe is our drama queen; and Jack is the youngest and doesn't really have the drive and ambition of his siblings. Their lives are a mishmash of fun and laughter coupled with hard work and dedication. They were never going to set the world on fire, but they would have a jolly good try.

In my view, The Shack is an impressive debut novella. It's an almost idyllic account of an unconventional family in mid-twentieth century England. Carrie Connaught and Charles Jones, from vastly different backgrounds, construct an unusual family whose spiritual center is an old abandoned shack. An antidote to modern and postmodern alienation (but with some surprise touches anticipating modern complications), The Shack is an old-fashioned good read.

Vad man bara hittar på, allt tycks passa som epitet för honom. Detsamma gäller om sagor kring hans färggranna person. Herrgårdar, skogshyttor, kutor på sjön, mineralgruvor, schäser och danssalonger. Han bemästrar dem allt. En bannlyst pastor, för evigt vägrad att få förkunna Guds ord, men förkunnar det ändå, i sitt liv och gärning.Trettiosex kapitel långt är denna väderkvarns vandringstig. Lust och lättja, kärlek och ödmjukhet i djup nedlåtenhet, ja i trovärd skändlighet, i slagsmål och hjältedåd. I beundrans solsken och föraktelsens mörker. Otroligt med vilken oänlig intrigbinda kan en ung kvinna, som denna författarinna Selma Lagerlöf, i sin debytroman har kunnat binda en klumpig kraftkarl. Icke under att hon sedan blev hedrad med Nobelpriset. Den sinneskraften tycks nog spegla även hennes blick på bokpärmen. Men i mina händer, eller rättare, under mina ögon har dock råkat ett exemplar där ett par kapitlar, åtminstone kapiteltitlar fattas och alla de övriga är fördublade, det vill säga varje kapitel två gånger i rad. Således också boken dubbelt så diger som vanligt. Först väcker det förundran, sedan ilska och två email till adressen som ges på tittelsidan. Inget svar. Sedan överväldigar texten fullstädnigt en sådan småsak.Och till slut igen anmärkning om dubbeltexten som info utan ilska i form av ett email till förlaget. Nu ett svar från operatorn: kunde ej framföras på grund av full postlåda. Vad skall man tänka därav? Konkurs med ett sådant guldägg? Överväldigat av ilskna dubbelklagare? Vem vet och vem bryr sig om. Boken är verkligen super, förtjänar alla möjliga stjärnor och lovord!5/5 stars, completely overwhelming play of imagination combined with rich description of everyday country folk life, spiritual, secular, physical, all possible realistic, irrealistic and absurd aspects. Look at the smile of the author in the cover picture and you will understand.

Thahera regularly spends time helping the neighbourhood children with their homework, playing educational games that stimulate their intellects, and encouraging them to succeed in their studies. Written in simple English, I enjoyed reading this book. There is a bit of horror and supernatural element in some of the stories but there is no gore or violence. I recommend this book to young as well as adult readers..

The ghost stories were scary and intriguing. The human interest stories were touching and heart warming. It is pleasant reading and I recommend it to everyone. By Denise Marie Lyon Sitting down and reading this book took me back to when Caroline and I were in Junior High. She would write letters in multi coloured pens and always include the smallest of details which made you feel like you were right there with her. I am so happy to see that nothing has changed, maybe the subject matter has changed but when you read Boy to the World! I feel like I am sitting with my old friend watching each and every story play out! I found myself (mostly) laughing, rolling my eyes and remembering our younger days! A DEFINITE MOST ENJOYABLE READ!!

All I can say - having raised five teenagers - is He/She is there to also calm us down. ;) He has no words but the words of others speaking from experience. This is a wonderful book with stories that every parent has or is going to face during their time raising children. Read it and you won't feel so alone facing some of the trials and tribulations where we face a different world from our parents. A world where most of us are now working parents.A fun, easy and heartwarming read.Pete

Juggling work and family, relying on breakfast for dinner, finding the balance between activities and free time - these are all issues that are discussed in Caroline's friendly, easy-to-read prose. Clean, well-organized, and surprisingly entertaining to read....The author's sense of humor made it feel like a friend was walking me through their thought process, and not like I was reading a how-to book, which was refreshing. The visualizations are really helpful in enhancing my understanding of the writing, and the exercises are broken down in a manageable and engaging way. I'm sure that once I start on them that they'll help me even further. This was a good purchase of a solid, enjoyable resource. It helped me expand my ways of thinking about future-facing design and development. Five stars.
