About the Author Miranda Jackson is a seventeen-year-old senior at GWCCAT, where she studies under the prime of Literary Arts. At Carver Center, she is an editor for the newspaper, Catalyst. She has won seven Scholastics Art and Writing Awards, as well as two ACT-SO awards for her personal essays. She resides in Baltimore, Maryland with her twin sister, Alexandra, and her mother. By next fall, she plans to be attending college at the University of Maryland College Park to earn a degree in Journalism.

I love this book and the beautiful Miranda Jackson By Carla I love this book and the beautiful Miranda Jackson, I am blessed to know and love her personally. I picked it up today to begin reading and I could not put it down until the end. Having seen some of what this family has endured, STILL I LEARNed more of how much this affected Miranda and Alexandra. She proves that children know, see, and feel more than what we realize. I love you Miranda, I am so proud of you! Carla

As I was reading I felt like I was in the authors shoes. Miranda was raw with her emotion in writing, brutally honest and at the age of 17 blew me away by her strength and wisdom. Looking forward to reading more stories by the author.
