Definitely would read more Evie Jones stories after this. Amie's characters always feel three-dimensional, even within the fantastic adventures they find themselves in. She does this through natural, fast-paced dialogue and humorous inner-monologues. Although Evie is quite at home in a 16-page story, you get the feeling she could have a lot of fun in a full-length novel. I'd definitely recommend this to anyone who likes magical realism and is looking to kill a quarter of an hour on a rainy night.

By Neva Li Evie Jones is fun - and the two shorts that have been published to date have whet my appetite for further adventures. I do not usually do any reading in the magic genre, but the combination of short, fun, smart, and Evie bring it together and make it work.

I was drawn in by the characters, especially Evie with her quirks and spunky attitude. The pages turned quickly and it was over before I knew it. A great story to start setting the mood for Halloween.
