I bought it intending to get the whole "Genealogy of Morals" in french, my third language, only to discover it misses two of the three essays that it was supposed to contain. The only hint that it had only the first essay is in German, Eine Streitschrift. If I knew German, I would read it in Nietzsche's native language, not in any translation.Don't buy it untill Amazon fixes it or puts an English note informing what it actually contains.

The characters were relatable and interesting. The storyline held my attention and I really couldn't wait to find out what happened at the end and I was surprised by the turn it took. I'm glad I read this book. For a first time effort by this author, I'd have to say it was pretty darn great! I'm looking forward to more of what this girl has to offer.

I found it relatable to my personal experiences and really felt for the characters. Certain parts of the book left me wanting more, making it hard to put down. Stowers’ descriptions made me feel like I was there. It was easy to envision what the characters looked like as well as their surroundings. I enjoyed reading this book and have recommended it to others.

The trials and tribulations of Aen make for a very interesting read. As a creature he comes and goes between being human and and alien with such a complicated mental and physical make up, sometimes it is hard to keep up. You really need to read the first book for context of the characters and some of the story. It is worth the read!!!

Stumbled upon this one and it serves my purpose very well. It's a step by step in depth guideon all functions of excel including, formula, equations, conditions etc Liked the fact that it has ample pictorial representations to make some concepts easier to understand. By the end of reading, you'll already be an intermediate atleast at reading, if not an expert. Author knows his stuff and hasn't excluded any key concepts.

I do alot of freelance writing, product reviews and many other things, so this book is great for me. I read it all and it was written so everyone can understand it. That is what I really liked. As we all know computers are today's world and every office and home office has to use Microsoft Excel. I am glad that I got this book and hope you give it a try too.

I was put off by the PUNK, because in my day punk was not a complementary term, but if this is what STEAM PUNK is like, give me more. It combines sci-fi with humor, history, and adventure. It is a story I would not be afraid to be seen reading. So much fiction in 2013 is what would have been called trash a few years ago, it is refreshing to see there is still some lighthearted amusement to be found that stays out of the gutter. I think Queen Victoria herself would approve.

Gary Alan Ruse's writing is crisp and clear, bringing glorious Steampunk vistas to life. A great story from a true fan of the Steampunk genre.

The dialog is not particularly mature -- the characters all sound like teenagers (of which I have three!). The premise of the story is pretty good and I would have been interested in seeing how the story unfolds, but I just couldn't spend any more effort reading what felt like a young adult's novel. I stopped at around 28%.I wish the author well with his next ventures, but I'm off to find more compelling and engaging stories appropriate for adult readers.

An exciting, action filled book with plenty of space battles By Catherine Mackay If there is one thing a reader can guarantee with a Raymond Weil novel, it is the fact it will be hugely exciting, very entertaining, contain packet loads of action, great characters and aliens and dramatic space battles - The Star Cross is no exception. I thoroughly enjoyed this new offering from Raymond Weil and hope it will be the beginning of a new series. The bad guys in The Star Cross are aliens called Profiteers who find and then plunder back-water worlds for profit. The Profiteers turn up on Earth and begin to plunder Earth for its wealth and citizens - failure to comply results in the systematic nuking of Earth cities. It is left to Admiral Kurt Vickers and the colony world of Newton to find a way to remove the Profiteers from Earth space for good. Vickers and his small fleet of ships travel to Kubitz in the Gothan Empire (the Profiteers are a part of this Empire) where slaves are brought and sold in the hopes of recovering Earth's citizens and perhaps purchase weaponary that can be used to rid Earth of the Profiteers. Kubitz is a seedy den where anything can be bought or sold for a price, that is if your willing to pay a hefty, over-in-flated price and have huge amounts of gold on your person!!! The Star Cross is Raymond Weil at his best - I highly recommend it for its shear entertainment value.

I will give the author the benefit of the doubt in that he does not actually write like this for adults. I am only upset that it is not marketed as a juvenile book and I paid good money expecting at least a reasonable read based on all the 5-star reviews. I just don't get the reviewers. Either they are all kids or they have a really inadequate point of reference on what a good sci-fi book is.

He has written about 65 books,full novels, in about 5 years. That's note worthy, but also these books, several series actually, have been related without the reader being aware of it. With this book, Shield Of Innocence Mr. Power has begun to tie all the series together. Although he has hinted of it before, this work starts to make it clear. . You won't need to read all his work to enjoy his style, but you'll want to. Over and over just to find the clues. This book may be a bit confusing if it the first book of his you read, you'll at least want to read the four book(so far) series Alternate Places of which this is the fourth.

I admit the Alternate Places universe is my favorite setting for Mr. Powers to work his magic, but this story goes way beyond just this storyline. I don't want to give any spoilers but this book really changes everything. Some has been hinted, but other revelations simply left me stunned. I had to read twice to make sure I got it all. Probably shows the reason why I consider Mr. Powers the best fantasy writer putting words to paper today. Must read.

Unexpected twists occur, as expected from PS Power books, and I am savoring the thought of re-reading the appropriate series until the next book is released. If you've ever done a happy dance over an extraordinary dessert, you might get how I feel about a new PS Power book. Since Juany Esther Hiraldo Lopez (Rio San Juan, Dominican Republic, 1980) was little, she was fond of reading, so she began writing on issues of sustainable tourism in a local magazine. This was how she discovered her passion for writing. In 2007, she traveled to Japan as part of former grantees of the Japanese International Cooperation Agency, where she trained in the area of the development of small and medium enterprises in Central America. She belonged to the Junior Chamber International and was part of the Sustainable Tourism for the Province of Puerto Plata where she served as an assistant in charge of the Marketing and Social Entrepreneur program.

Evil paralyzes the populace. Set in the fictional 1950's town of Glory, Ted's steady maturation is vastly accelerated when a series of brutal murders force him to choose between a trusted confidant and mentor or the status-quo and the rampant racial prejudice that dominates the town. The victims are discovered partially dismembered in shallow graves near his friend's home by a survey crew for an improved road that links Glory with the neighboring town of Nirvana. This is a cautionary tale that reminds us that the folly of youth may come back to haunt us. It invokes the boyhood adventure of Tom Sawyer with the courtroom drama of Earl Stanley Gardner while recalling a simpler time. It also recounts the ugliness of society before the term "politically correct" was a part of our daily lexicon. Theodore Herald, who is at best a devil-may-care youth and at worst a juvenile delinquent, is suddenly thrust into the harsh spotlight of notoriety when he testifies on behalf of his friend. The metamorphosis from gleeful purveyor of skullduggery to responsible adult is like flipping a light switch. Unfortunately, Ted's credibility is called into question when his colorful past is revealed. Lives hang in the balance as a deliciously twisted ending unfolds.
