Tails tells of the life and times of Domino -- the good, the bad and the ugly -- and all from his perspective. Domino is a multi-colored cat who was dumped of in a garage in Beverly Hills when he was about four weeks old. After a few days the lady who found him was able to find him a permanent home with an associate who lived in Pasadena. Three years later the family moved to New Zealand, which entailed Domino having to spend six months in prison in Hawaii. Upon his release he traveled to the "Land of the Long White Cloud" (New Zealand), where he lived for eight years. The family then moved to Australia. His tails include his relationship with Ms. Lillie, James and Munchkin aka "the White Boys from Mangere." They are the three other felines who shared his life and home. Plus his human Mum and Dad. His story is humorous, poignant and real, definitely no spin here.

Don't wait - Just Buy It Now!!First let me say, I have always considered myself "a Dog Person." My family has raised working hunting dogs on our Virginia farm for three generations. Cats were relegated to horse barns and credited only for preventing winter field mice from entering the house as much as possible.But reading Wakem's "Domino" reminded me of my beloved Blizzard. Blizzard was an adult, gray, un-neutered, stray, male cat with yellow eyes. He trusted no one. From the bowl of food I placed off our house's back boor, Blizzard would only approach long after the coast was clear of any other animals and all humans.After weeks of preparing and watching his meal-time ritual, I made the decision I was going to love that wild little soul whether Blizzard wanted me to or not. I was 7 years old.While Blizzard ate, I sat patiently near his bowl every chance I got. Each day, I sat a little closer.Blizzard growled. I was undeterred.Long story short, there was that day that Blizzard let me touch his thick gray coat.There was that day Blizzard let me pick him up.There was that day Blizzard let me pet him while in my lap.There was that day Blizzard let me carry him indoors to his food bowl.Then there was that glorious day my parents let Blizzard stay for good.Thank you, Mr. Wakem. Your heart-felt story reminded me how hard I had to work to earn the trust and the love of a cat named Blizzard. And for that, I am truly grateful to your writing!

Ryan The interesting story of a loveable adopted male cat and told from the cat's point of view. Many interesting facts presented also as the cat ends up living around the world. If you love reading cat stories - you'll enjoy this one. It is the second in a four-book Cat series. The first book if Ms. Lillie and another must read. The last two books are coming soon.
0 of 0 people found the following review helpful. A Beautiful Story and a must read! By Rosemary Lee It was a wonderful, touching story and I enjoyed reading it even though my "boarders" are doggies. Domino and Ms. Lillie came to life and I felt that I really understood what their life was like. I will agree that our pets come to our lives to teach us many things. Ownership by humans? Oh no, they most definitely own us.
