The Amazing Memoir that has the adventuresome spirit and redemptive honesty of 'WILD' and the absurd hilarity of the best David Sedaris essay!!

Already a top 20 book in several categories!

“I admit it. I failed foreign language class in Italy.”...So begins this rollicking comic adventure where nothing is exactly what it seems. Structured around twenty-four Italian language classes, poet and photographer Jay Desind invites you on a quest that goes backwards and forwards through time, surprises with unexpected humor, and shows an emotional range and honesty in a framework of quirky invention.

It’s a memoir about the consequences of loss and the powerful

redemptive things that happen when you immerse yourself into the accents, idioms, and traditions of other cultures.

In the end, it is nothing what you expect and once finished, everything you wish you had experienced for yourself in a comfortable travel outfit.

Lost in Language shares the bravery and unflinching honesty of Eat, Pray, Love and Cheryl Strayed’s Wild. It’s also absurdly funny like the best David Sedaris essay. What holds it all together is a unique authentic voice that takes the ‘me’ out of memoir and tells a universal story of finding yourself even when no one else is looking for you in the first place. Editorial Reviews “Shocking, Funny, and Never Boring." Kathleen Jones, Author of the bestselling book Catherine Cookson: The Biography "A Wonderful read...Always entertaining and surprising." Karen Divine, artist and author of A Small Amount of Courage "Praise for this impossible-to-put-down read! A poetic, humorous, deeply authentic Jay accompanies the reader through the pages of this book. It was as though I was watching a painter create his self portrait...back and forth adding new strokes of color, some dark, some outrageously bright...to the present and the past..." 5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. `I am not making this up. I have a picture to prove it.' By Grady Harp Try to find out a lot about Jay Desind and about all you'll encounter is that he attended San Jose State University and is a poet, photographer and memoirist `who just a few short years ago left the shores of his homeland and bought a one way ticket to Singapore. His intention was to travel for about a month and then return home. But the idea of home became a new elusive reality, and now, twenty countries later and counting, Jay has begun to share some of his adventures to an ever growing audience. At times funny, irascible, thoughtful and always sincere and genuine, Jay shares candid moments in his life and introduces a cast of characters from many different countries in his writing.'But then really that is enough résumé because his writing says it all. He is frank, handsome, incredibly hilarious and one of the finest comedic writers of the day. This reader is satiated with the one line reviews that summarize a book by stating (only) `I just could put it down', but after starting to read LOST IN LANGUAGE that is precisely what happens (the book is to blame for starting daylight savings time with a sleepless night not bothering to mess with the clock duties).A particularly fine example of the 'can't put it....' you know, is his introduction, a part of which I'll quote here: 'This is a book about how we only know we are on a journey when we finally stop going someplace and write about it. It's also about getting antsy and thinking staying in one place provides answers and then realizing you have to get going again to find more questions. Don't worry. I like places that have nice bathrooms and springy beds, so you won't be uncomfortable. From time to time someone else is in bed with us, so scoot over. And if you like seafood, well, see you after dinner. I'll warn you in advance. I don't solve the quadratic equation or find a miracle cure for miracles. And though I'm touchy feely sometimes, I'm really not when it comes to pets, especially poodles--my luck because my boyfriend loves them. I guess if you force me to tell you what the payoff of this story is, I'd say that peanut butter and Nutella spread over a rice cake is both good for you and bad for you and therefore it's ok to have a few but not four. If Hugh Jackman is not available to play me in the movie, Sally Field is an acceptable stand in.' ....I also want to clear one other thing up since it's been asked. I never did take a shower with David Sedaris, hike a California trail with Cheryl Strayed (or sleep with her), catch scissors Augusten Burroughs threw my way (or sleep with him), but any day of the week I would Eat, Pray, Love Julia Roberts to the ends of the earth. Any resemblance to anything these people have written or starred in proves that there is nothing new to say, but we keep on trying to say it anyway. (Or get laid.)'What follows is some of the finest writing of the day - smart, intelligent (is that the same thing?), rich in observations of human behavior, and deliciously funny. Oh the plot, yes: `How one man failed foreign language class in Italy but found his voice'. For the rest of this memoir, read it yourself so it won't be spoiled Start it and see if you can stop. More than likely you will fall in love with Jay Desind - a hopeless addiction and a reason to grab his other works as fast as he offers them to us. He is up there with the best of them. Highly Recommended. Grady Harp, March 15

At first and throughout, Jay's singular voice is at times laugh-out loud witty, wry, amusing and highly intelligent. Then at the end he sucker punches you with an honest and heartfelt account of losing his parents and partner. This book is a spiral, going backwards and forwards through time. He is skillful enough to have never made me feel lost. Several times in the book he asks you to take his hand, and you actually feel that you are on a journey with a friend, a friend that wants you to see the funny things of life but also wants to give you reassurances when you travel to darker times. This book is about many things. Learning a language. Experiencing new relationships. Travel. Family connections. Art. History. In a way it's like ending up on a planet called Jay and discovering a whole new landscape where it's possible to sometimes fly with Dolly Parton or have lunch with Julia Roberts in Italy. I know, sounds a little daffy, but somehow Jay draws you in and you aren't surprised to be at one point observing a young couple coming across his book at a used book store and using it as foreplay, and then later being at the edge of his bed filled with the grief and uncertainty of a relationship and circumstances that are pushing him to fall into a pit.To the very end of this book, Jay makes clever use of different forms of writing—quoting poetry, living in Edward Thomas's Adlestrop poem, using his own photos as flashbacks to stories about his past, and one chapter which is one very long sentence long that reads like a photographic diary of a day. Somehow he pulls all this off. Even the very last paragraph of the book leads you right back to the beginning. All of this is done with real feeling. I feel like I know Jay.This book is something I recommend.

3 of 3 people found the following review helpful. and it has been amazing to watch him throw himself into something he loves ... By Kelsey All I can say is wow for Jay's new book! I have known Jay all my life, and it has been amazing to watch him throw himself into something he loves so deeply, & create such wonderful things. When reading this book, you can feel all of his emotions, all of the things he has been through, all of the positive and negative experiences, & see how they have shaped his writing into something that makes you emotional as well. The emotional depth of this book is astounding. Jay makes you feel like you are right there with him through everything he is talking about. Jay has such a variety of expository writing, descriptive writing, narrative writing, and in a way he persuades you to keep reading by being to emotionally engaged (something that a lot of writer have a trouble with). This is Jay's best book, wait, who am I kidding, all of them are the best.!"All you need to know about a book is if the last page stings your soul, if it does, your in for a great adventure. "

Burrese The “Teach Yourself Visually” series promotes itself as “The Fast and Easy Way to Learn” and this book “Word 2016” by Elaine Marmel fits that description very well. I've been using Word for a long time, and my daughter started using it a year ago when I subscribed to the Office Suite and loaded her computer too. However, neither of us use Word to its full potential. There are thirteen chapters that contain the lessons:Getting Familiar with WordManaging DocumentsEditing TextProofreadingFormatting TextFormatting ParagraphsFormatting PagesPrinting DocumentsWorking with Tables and ChartsWorking with GraphicsCustomizing WordWorking with Mass Mailing ToolsWord and the World Beyond Your DesktopThis guide to Word is an excellent resource for making the most of this powerful word processing program. With screen shots of everything it teaches, this book allows you to “see” what you are learning. It is well organized with lessons only consisting of two pages. You can look up what you want to do and quickly learn how to do it. Over 160 tasks are explained. There are also many useful tips and tricks to help you become a master at using Word. It is great for the beginner, but even people who have been using Word should learn a thing or two. However, if you are already using all the different features Word offers, this book may be too basic and not something you need. There are a lot of lessons I already knew, but some I didn't, and I also wanted it for my daughter who doesn't know as much about the program as I do.Excellent resource for anyone wanting to make the most out of Word, especially beginners.

8 of 9 people found the following review helpful. Visual Word By SouthGenie I'm not a hardcore user of Word, but when I do use it I sometimes find myself at a loss to accomplish certain things I know are possible but can't quite remember how to get to. I like this Visual series because it helps me get things done and easily retrains me to newer program versions. The organization, layout, and representations are very well done and make this guide very user friendly. It would also be great to give this to someone who is new or struggling with computer use but really wants to use the programs. People are constantly gifting their parents/grandparents with computers because they want that person to email or Skype with them.. They say things like "oh this is soooo easy to use..." Well it's only soooo easy to use if you assume a lot of basic background knowledge that that person almost never has, and that person winds up feeling like an out of date fool, which is so unfair. So how about you include some guide books that they don't know are out there at the same time? If you're an experienced and frequent Word user this may seem a bit simplistic to you, but if you're a newer or less experienced user this should be a great guide to get going with.

5 of 5 people found the following review helpful. A mixed bag for beginners and Word veterans By Jerry Saperstein My first impression was that this book is intended for people who had never used Word before. It is. But as I went from one two-page lesson to another, it became clear that it is a very thorough introduction to Word and tha I was being reminded of many features that I had forgotten! This is a very basic book in many ways with lessons on how to navigate a page. But it is also at the same time a pretty good reference of basic Word operations. It is a difficult book to classify. Experienced Word users will probably be better served by more detailed references. But many Word users, including those with extensive experience, may find this a handy operational reference. The Amazon “Look Inside “ feature is available for this book and I would strongly urge the prospective purchaser to review the table of contents to get a batter sense of the book. The writing in the lessons is clear and the illustrations are thorough and well-done. This is one where some pre-purchase research is very necessary.Jerry

In a future time of social, religious and political upheaval, two isolated cultures clash with devastating results. Kiya, a young healer, is kidnapped to fulfil the ancient prophecy of The Gift, and is raped by her brutal captor, Alaric the Chosen, before being taken north across the High Atlas Mountains to the pagan High Priest of Okeanos, God of the Sea. Raphel, Kiya's storyteller husband, sets out on a thousand-mile journey to rescue her from a warmongering regime, with only hope and a headful of stories to aid him. Their friend, Abe, to whom they both look for help, has his own secret agenda decreed by a long-dead pope. Raphel and Kiya find help where they least expect it, but who can they trust - friend or foe? A short excerpt: Abe stroked his mule’s neck: the beast threw up his head, the white of his eye flashing, a sure sign something had spooked him. ‘Hold up, Moses. Steady, boy.’ Moses’s nostrils expanded and quivered, blowing soft, nervous breath across the silver hairs on his master’s forearm: his long ears went back, flat to his mane. ‘Yes, I smell it too.’ He pushed the wide, floppy brim of his hat back from his eyes, with the back of the hand that held his staff, and hauled the reluctant mule forward. A damp smell of burning clung to the air. The track wound along the bottom of the narrow gorge, among sparse trees at the river’s edge. Where were the people of the village, the children? He rounded a bend in the trail and stopped, heart in mouth. The house before him lay in ruins, its walls blackened and crumbling, smoke still wisping from the windows. The body of a young woman lay at the foot of a tree. She lay curled on her side, the handle of a knife protruding from her belly. He drew closer, the breeze lifting the sickly-sweet smell of death into the air. She’d been dead a day, maybe more. He tied Moses to a branch and bent to make the sign of the cross on her forehead. ‘May God in his mercy forgive your sins.’ The mule let out a strangled squeal, wild eyed and terrified. Cold fingers crept up his spine, as his eyes were drawn inexorably where Moses looked, up into the tree to which he’d tethered the mule. Above them was a child, a small girl: her dress, once a pale blue, was dark with blood, her black curls framed her face in matted locks, her head hung forward on her chest and her thin arms were outstretched. Through her hands, wooden spikes pinned her to the tree’s branches and through her heart was a wooden stake; a cruel parody of Christ’s crucifixion ‘Holy Mary…’ His staff clattered to the stony ground and his fingers reached for the crucifix worn beneath his shirt. He swallowed bile and forced himself to look at her, to see the dark stain caking the insides of her legs, and the blood that had run from her wounds: she’d been raped, and had been alive when they’d hung her from this tree. His breath came in harsh sobs and he raised his eyes to the heavens, fists clenched. ‘My God, why? Strike me! The fault is mine not theirs.’ Stumbling away, blind with tears, he puked his guts in the road. He wiped a sleeve across his eyes and mouth, untied Moses and hobbled him, letting him graze a short distance away, then he climbed the tree to take down the dead child. Cradling her in his arms, he laid the little girl by the woman. He remembered them from a previous visit, a year or more ago. They were mother and daughter, and it was clear from the woman’s position, from the tracks of crusted tears across her cheeks, that she’d taken her own life. He tore his hat from his head and dropped it beside him, bowing his head. God’s reasons weren’t for him to question. He’d been spared… God’s will… these deaths were shown to him for a reason and all would be made clear with the coming of the Messiah. I read her Touching The Wire and loved it so I expected more of the same. One thing initially made me stutter, I picked up this book without reading the blurb, simply based on the fact that I had enjoyed the first so much. As I opened the book I was greeted by meet the characters - never mad on that idea - then I read the first chapter and had to go back to read the blurb., The penny dropped. This was not going to be more of the same. I carried on regardless having made the mistake of presumption and I was glad I did. Everything went against me liking the book in a way as I am not a huge fan of Dystopian tales and I had been expecting something else. Guess what, I still loved this book. I say it is different to Touching the Wire and yes it is in genre but not in Style. Rebecca Bryn is such a skilled writer and has a marvelous way of handling a story that far from being disappointed I was quite engaged. Once again ability, voice and an understanding of what a reader wants triumphed. I suspect she could write in any genre and I would go back for more, a cross over talent not many can achieve. I didn't speculate (too much) on some of the analogies and references, I am sure they are what they are, but it is all rather clever, never too clever for its own good and importantly, in this book we have characters that are likable, engaging and ones you want to triumph. All books are about love of course and this is no exception with relationship and love at the heart of the tension. I like the title, it gives a great sense of what to expect and I know that in giving this book a five star recommendation it is based on all of they key things a book needs to be to get that from me. Technically on the money, dialogue that is comfortable in the head as in the mouth, a strong narrative but most importantly an engaging well told story that I suspect all will enjoy ,

Abe and Kiya are central and indispensable to the story as it unfolds. Secondary characters, like Raphel and Alaric are well drawn, believable, some likable and some brutish. I rooted for Kiya throughout the story. As I read I tried to visualise how the novel would end, needless to say my prediction was wrong but the author brought this fabulous story to a great conclusion. Rebecca Bryn doesn’t just tell a tale, with Where Hope Dares she makes the reader a part of it. This has to be said of the proverbs used in a clever fashion to bring out the best in the chapters they pertained to, they were also thought provoking.Kiya is forced to take a journey, not just physically but emotionally and spiritually, the author leads you tentatively along the same path as her. I don’t like overly descriptive novels and I surmised that I may find it in this book because of the journey they had to undertake. Again I was wrong. Bryn is descriptive but not overly, she is concise and imaginative. I immersed myself in it.I found the ‘Meet the Characters’ unnecessary, for me that is. It was my choice to ignore this as I wanted to meet the characters as I read. I wanted to ‘know’ them naturally by letting the author introduce them to me, again she didn’t disappoint. The Afterword by Philip Stephen Knight BSc was an added bonus for me. It is interesting and delves into climatic changes and geographic details of the journey and lands inhabited before and after Abe.I read Where Hope Dares with Kindle Unlimited, but this is one epic read to keep on your ereader or better still, on your bookshelf.

It takes place in the future of planet Earth, but has an ancient feel to it. It felt as though I was reading a myth or a legend. Though there are many subplots, it’s mainly a love story between Kiya, a gifted healer and Raphel, a talented storyteller. Their beautiful relationship is interrupted by Kiya’s captivity and sexual sacrifice, but the connection between them is so strong and powerful that none of the outside evil can bring them down.I found this to be a breathtaking adventure. Some part were tough for me to read, and the overall mood is dark and dramatic, but very captivating. I liked the idea of the future / past synchronicity, and how the author depicts the future of humanity as a reference to the ancient times. It makes you think whether history cyclically repeats itself. I also enjoyed the spiritual tone to it, and the nicely weaved in ecological messages.I could feel the expertise and diligent work of the author, and sensed how much she worked on developing the story’s world and the characters. Hats off to her work!I think this book will please readers who like epic, dramatic dystopian novels with a strong message.

A great new english language introduction to the expansive and engrossing world of Perry Rhodan By Takeyabue It is great to finally see new English translations of Perry Rhodan back on the market. The translation is easy to read and polished with high editorial values and clean presentation. This first installment in a six part self-contained series offers a in-depth introduction to the Perry Rhodan universe in a manner that is rewarding for both the newcomer and the veteran of the earlier series of Perry Rhodan translations from the 1970s. The Perry Rhodan universe, which has seen over 50 years of development and expansion, is large and complex, yet this volume does an excellent job of both taking advantage of is lore and introducing it to a first-time reader. While the first one is not free, I can pretty well guarantee that you will be hooked by just one. Highly recommended.

Spurlock I was very pleased to learn that the long-running pulp German SF series was returning--at least in a limited way--to English with the six-book LEMURIA mini-series. The ebook format seems a perfect fit for this series. I read the English translations published by Ace Books in the 1970s, and ARK OF THE STARS captures the space-adventuring, cosmic-history-spanning vibe of those stories. This is an interesting look at a generation ship and the culture that it develops--and that is imposed on its community--over the course of its centuries-long journey. How this ship gets caught up in the ages-old feud between the Terrans and the Akonides satisfied both my enjoyment of space opera and my pleasure at refreshing my familiarity with Perry Rhodan tropes. The story sets up a mystery that I look forward to following in the subsequent volumes in the LEMURIA series. Dwight Decker's translation is excellent, and I'm pleased it doesn't include any of the frightful puns that English editor Forry Ackerman imposed on the Ace editions all those many years ago.

Quam Being a fan for some time, and a native english speaker, it was nice to finally read a decent translation of this series. The pace and narrative may seem a bit unfamiliar to many US readers, but once you get caught up in the story and characters, it will be worth the read. I am currently finishing up the fourth book in this series and am very glad to have taken a chance on this english translation; as many have noted before, the earlier 1970's translations were a bit "screwy" although that improved with time.If you are curious about Perry Rhodan and why everywhere else in the world this series is a fan favorite, I'd suggest buying this series and reading it through to the end. At worst, you can then say that you have read a Perry Rhodan story line. At best, you will become a fan - hopefully these new translations become popular enough to warrant production of more.

Infinity + One: Best of 2014 List By Amazon Customer I finished this book yesterday and ruminated on my thoughts for a while, wanting to provide the best review possible of a book that has rekindled my faith in romance novels and reminded me why I resumed reading after a decade hiatus. But, no matter how I try to plan, I just can't seem to get my thoughts in order so I'm just going to ramble and hope it serves as testimony to how utterly breathtaking this book was for me.I love romance. All genres, sub-genres, and sub-sub-genres. That said, it seems as of late that I've fallen into a pile of surface-level romance. Ones where I have to suspend so much reality that it almost seems ridiculous. I still enjoy them, don't get me wrong, but I found myself longing for a book that went deeper than that basics. I wanted characters that I could see myself in, in some way. A storyline that sucked me down to a place where I couldn't get enough. I wanted connection. I wanted honesty. I wanted imperfection. And Amy Harmon delivered that and so much more.I was hesitant to read this book at first. A little skeptical of the premise and a little fearful because I was certain that no book could top the way Making Faces made me feel. I've re-read that book multiple times and each visit is just as powerful as the first. Infinity + One has demolished my fears, surpassed my hopes and has found a home right next to Ms. Harmon's other works in my all-time favorites collection of novels. This book is an absolute work of art.Amy Harmon has a way if writing a story I want to believe in. She gives me characters that I can love despite all their imperfections. Her words are magic, creating this universe that I feel a part of, like I'm right there beside the people I'm rooting for. I'm the third wheel but in the best possible way.For me, Infinity + One is a story of being lost. Of being sad. Of being lonely. Those are emotions that we can all relate to at some point in our lives and she has eloquently given them a home in this novel. She's shown us that it's okay to feel this way. More than that, it's normal for anyone, anywhere. It also shows you that you can't judge someone's life by what you see. Because most of the time, it's only a fraction of the truth that's hiding beneath the surface. Everyone's pain is different. This book is enchanting. It weaves a tale of two lost and lonely souls trying to find their way, their own happiness, in a world where pain, sadness, and sorrow seem to always outweigh the good stuff. Books like Infinity + One are the reason I read. It is a shining example of the novels I long for.So, thank you Ms. Harmon. You make me think; you make me feel. And those are the two things I long for in books I read. My life is enhanced by books like this. And for that, I am forever grateful.

I get so many review copies & Kindle freebies and have Amazon Prime and a great library nearby so I borrow books I don’t have review copies of. When I do buy books it is usually to support an author. Take for example the boxed set Romance Through the Ages, when it went on sale for .99 cents I bought it. I already had copies of most of the books in the set but purchased a copy anyway to support the authors. Same things with the Girls on Fire boxed set. I either have or could easily get a review copy of all the books in that set but again I purchased a copy to support the authors. My first introduction to Amy Harmon was when her book was added to the Romance Through the Ages boxed set. I had read books by 5 of those authors and had a couple books by the 6th author. But I had never heard of Amy Harmon.Fast forward to a couple weeks ago when I met Amy Harmon at a conference the day before Infinity + One was released. I was very impressed by what she had to say so I purchased a copy of her book when I got home. I could have asked for a review copy but felt like purchasing it was what I should do.I had other things I should have been doing yesterday besides just reading this book. I spent the morning walking and reading and then opted to take my daughter to the pool so she could swim and I could keep reading. I was about 75% done by the time we got home and my daughter asked when I’d be finished. I told her I hoped to be done before bedtime. At bedtime she checked my Kindle and I had started another book which earned me some 8 year old praise for meeting my goal. Just ignore the fact that housework didn’t get done and dinner didn’t get made. That’s the consequence of a great book!I started this book knowing there was going to be some content in it. Amy had talked about agonizing over every swear word she included trying to keep her characters authentic. Although she is LDS she is writing for a National market and writing about characters who do swear. So I went into this book with a very open mind. Even so there was more language then I was expecting. Easily 100 instances of mild language and several moderate instances. Definitely more than I was expecting but somehow she managed to keep me reading and enthralled in the storyline. There were a couple instances when what would have obviously been strong language was omitted such as this case where I read.“Clyde said a bad word under his breath”I actually laughed out loud when I read that… we’d heard plenty of language but at least that instance was edited out. There was innuendo and fade to black sex scene but it wasn't gratuitous. There were a couple conversations from Clyde’s past I could have done without because they were a little crude and crass but other than that the book was beautiful done. Now that content is out of the way on to the actual story. Very simply put… I loved it.This modern day tale of Bonnie and Clyde had me rooting for these misunderstood outlaws hoping their story didn’t end in the same tragedy as their namesakes. Everything in this story was woven together so perfectly. We all know I’m no writer but I love when I come across a well written story. I read to be entertained and uplifted but recognize those rare occasions when books that entertain and uplift are so beautifully written that there is a magic feel to them. Infinity + One had that magic.I’m a succor for stories based on road trips and enjoyed the journey this one took us on. Perhaps that is because my mom took us on a 7 week road trip across the US so I have been to many of the places mentioned. I often pass through Primm, Nevada while traveling to visit family so I plan to stop and see Bonnie & Clyde’s death car on my next trip instead of the outlet mall. While this was my first book by Amy Harmon it won’t be my last. I intend to go back and read her previously released titles and will be awaiting her next book release. Is this for you? If you can’t do language then skip this one. Although most of the language is mild there is a lot of it. Infinity + One is not a young adult story, I won’t be giving it to my 14 year old. Technically the character’s ages & the coming of age story line would classify this as New Adult but I hesitate to label it as such. It’s too beautifully written to place it along side most of what passes as New Adult these days.Rating: 5 Stars – I loved it.Content: Language throughout, innuendo and fade to black sex.As much as I dislike “content” in books the language & sexual content and innuendo didn’t bother me in this book like it typically does. I started reading it knowing there was language and having heard Amy talk about why she uses it in her writing… so I’m sure that influenced me. That plus the fact that her writing is so beautiful and uplifting instead of being crass and crude allowed me to look beyond the content to the beautiful story.Source: Purchased from Amazon.com. I don’t buy many books but I don’t regret this purchase. If you have Amazon Prime you can currently borrow it for free.

She Put A Spell On Me By Hummingbird Girl This book in one word: MAGICALAfter reading Making Faces and A Different Blue, I became convinced that Amy Harmon was an otherworldly being, transported from some far off place in the future, where they’ve already answered all the difficult questions about life, and she’s been placed on earth, disguised as an author to impart her wisdom. I love reading her books, because they have a mystical undertone, one that quenches my philosophical yearnings, while leaving me still with more questions. She’s a witch who’s woven her spell and I’m unable to fight off this enchantment (not that I’d ever want to!).Infinity + One is her latest concoction, and I can say that this brew is potent. From the very first pages, I was stunned, seized from the very opening scene, and subsequently stupefied by the thrilling ride that was the story of Infinity James Clyde and Bonnie Ray Shelby. From the moment that Finn reached out and saved Bonnie, they took me on a heart-pounding journey. The two were young, sometimes dumb, but always brave. On an almost desperate and heartbreaking search for freedom and redemption, Bonnie and Finn were impulsive, infuriating, and inspiring. These two experienced profound losses in their lives. They lost people who were intricately woven in their identity, and once gone, they unraveled. This story was about how they saved each other.Infinity + One is about the thread that weaves through our souls, one that interlaces our individual chapters and creates a complete story. This love story touched me deeply and filled me. Another classic by Amy Harmon, this story transcends the romance genre, and should be read by any and everyone who just loves amazing literature. A top recommendation, and must-read!I believe in Bonnie and Clyde.

Bringing Life Back Into Dead Dreams By Nocturnus *****This review is for the new UPDATED AND EXPANDED REVISED EDITION*****This series must be read in order so as to prevent spoilers! This is the first book.Jaden had dreams and focus until her petty exfiance destroyed them and her career in one fell swoop! Now she works in a bar filling in for a friend instead of as the head doctor of the Pediatric Physical Therapy Department. She is the best in her field... Or at least she was. Men are nothing but trouble! She misses her kids... She misses helping them and their parents get past the tragedies and on to a new life which though different is still good. She helps kids relearn how to live as normally as possible and go on to lead rich and fulfilling lives. How is she going to deal with the loss of her calling?! But that gorgeous man has been staring at her all night and seems as interested in her as she is in him... Maybe one night stands could be good... Just because she has never found them or apple pie appealing before doesn't mean it isn't time to break her rules! He definitely looks like apple pie à la mode... One she can't wait to sample!Adam is used to getting his way. He is a billionaire businessman whom no one had EVER told no... But then why is he so nervous? Jaden is THE BEST and he needs her to help his daughter! She should be getting better but instead she sits in her wheelchair every day getting weaker and withering away into herself. The other therapists only made things worse not better and he NEEDS Emily to get better and resume her normal life! She is the center of his world and he will not allow her to disappear from her old life! He may not have had a normal childhood with fun and friends but he will do anything ... Pay anything ... To have her back to normal! Jaden has to do this... Besides who says no to a million dollars? She will help him won't she? He won't take no for an answer. This delightful romantic comedy is well worth the read and one of my new favorites! Erin always shocks and delights me with her odd pairing of strong characters who learn that love makes everything better no matter what! Dealing with real problems her books are always inspiring and heart warming showing that no matter the odds love will prevail :) I can't wait to read the next installment of this awesome newly revised series What Matters Most (The Billionaire Bargains Book 2)!***This series is suitable for adult readers not afraid of a little plot driven sex amid their romance!

On Books And More Working in a job that she is more than overqualified for leaves Dr Jaden Monroe with too much to think about and too much to fantasize about if what she was thinking about the man at the table across from her was even allowed to be called fantasy..She knows her thoughts can only remain fantasy and she soon draws herself up and gets on with her day, But when the man of her fantasy who just happens to be the millionaire Adam Steele wants something from her and no one else but her, can Jaden Monroe give him what he wants.Adam's daughter is in need of what Jaden is good at - rehabilitating kids. Adam will give and do anything for his daughter and right now no matter what it cost he is willing to pay to make his daughter walk again.Jaden NEEDS the money and not for the reason that Adam thinks, but Jaden is prepared to put up with Adams low impression of her to get her hands on the money. The money is only part of the problem because once Jaden meets Adam's little girl, who just happens to not be a little girl, but a mouthy little brat with lots of issues she was lost and was prepared to work her hardest to make this young lady walk again. From then on Ms. Nicholas had two storyline running alongside each other and while the romance between Adam and Jaden didn't hold me for very long - I will say that it was not from lacking of trying on both their path. They were fun to be around and the sexual tension was pretty steaming between them. What held my interest in this book was the relationship between Adam's teenage daughter Emily and her father as well as her road to confidence with every step she takes and every new person that comes across her path..This was my first read by this author and it was no hardship to go with the flow of this story. Some of it felt a little too convenient but that took nothing away from the more positive aspects of the book.Adam's brother is one character that I fell totally in love with in this book and I do hope Ms. Nicholas give him his HEA very soon....

I am sure that is how she comes up with these ideas. Sneaky sneaky Erin, making them auto-biographical. Nice.
